Currently, 22 Senegalese students are working on relevant problems of Senegalese farmers as part of the so-called Summer School.
The Summer School is a joint project of the Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences, the Bildungswerk der Bayerischen Wirtschaft (bbw Group), the Senegalese university USSEIN and the Maschinenring Foundation. The aim is for the Senegalese students to use the design thinking method to identify problems and develop prototypes to solve them within four weeks.
As part of the FAMFISK project - Fostering Agricultural Machinery and Food Technology in Senegal and Kenya - the aim is to strengthen regional players in the fight against hunger.
We have selected two of the 22 students who will be accompanied by a Senegalese camera team during the summer school. Initial discussions were held with farmers and their own project was fleshed out. In the coming weeks, the aim is to construct a prototype from the idea.
We are excited đ
